For so many years Taiwan has loomed as a geopolitical flash point and a regular on the list of top national security concerns of the US through the prospects of conflict with China over an island that is just 80 miles away, which has always seemed highly unlikely.

Diffusion years of tension between Beijing and Washington have been working to rebuild communication means in recent, to promise settled differences through dialogues but one major sticking point remains “Taiwan” Beijing has blamed is rising tension island collusion between Taiwan government and foreign forces, and its defended recent military droves near the island, on the other side recent delegation’s visit of  Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan honors America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant democracy,” Pelosi said in a statement shortly after landing. “America’s solidarity with the 23 million people of Taiwan is more important today than ever, as the world faces a choice between autocracy and democracy. As her arrival prompted a furious response from China at a time when international tensions already are elevated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. China considers Taiwan part of its territory and has never renounced using force to bring it under its control. The United States warned China against using the visit as a pretext for military action against Taiwan. These two perspectives lead two different directions because China’s mindset to gain Taiwan is as old as the people’s republic of China itself, besides all Taiwan is so important to the world because it holds an important position in the global economy and is a top player in the world’s information and communication technology industry as well as a major supplier of goods across the industrial spectrum. Now, this is where the conflict comes in, since this period China believes in the Reunification of both territories instead Taiwan considered itself a Free Democratic State, and by the way, Elections turned out there, they mean it.

And after all these complications between the two nations, America’s stance to aid Taiwan does not help in reducing the tension a bit.

Should China and America find some peaceful means to resolve the conflict?

Both Washington and Beijing perceive that trends in bilateral relations over Taiwan are moving in the wrong direction and each blames the other for initiating this dangerous path. Furthermore, Beijing may soon reach a watershed moment regarding Taiwan, or it may have already reached this point and Washington has yet to recognize it.

Beijing’s Taiwan tipping point as Pelosi’s August 2022 visit to the island. But, in the immediate aftermath of the visit, careful attention ought to focus on close monitoring of Chinese rhetoric and actions, this effort is vital if the two countries are to avoid unintended escalation and unwanted war in the coming weeks, months, and years.
