Javed Akhtar, Bee Gul to head time largest Urdu literary fest in Dubai

The largest Urdu language, literature, and cultural festival in the world will take place in Dubai, and notable Pakistani figures including Samina and Usman Peerzada, Bee Gul, and Mahira Khan will be in attendance.

The Jashn-e-Rekhta an event spanning two days, in Dubai in 2024 honors the Urdu language, literature, and culture. Under the auspices of H.H., the festival is sponsored by Rekhta, the biggest and most well-known poetry platform in the world. The festival, which takes place on January 27 and 28, 2024, will feature a wide range of artistic mediums, including dance, theater, food handicrafts, ghazals, qawwali, Sufi, Bollywood, and poetry/mushaira. Being the only of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, the festival will feature around 75 well-known performers and speakers from Pakistan, India, and other countries.

The two-day festival, which has a spectacular lineup of artists and luminaries from India, Pakistan, and other nations, will take place at Zabeel Park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on the final weekend of this month.
